THE TRIAL:Judge Peter- Order! Order! Court is in session. We are here today for the trial of the accused wizard Giles Corey husband of guilty Martha Corey. There are many people here today with accusations against you. Let’s start with Mrs. Ann
Putnam.Ann- Your honor, this man is a wizard, and he tried to get me to become one too!
Judge Peter- what do you have to say for yourself Mr.
CoreyCorey- nothing
Judge Peter- Nothing?
Corey- I have nothing to say.
Judge Peter- well then, please continue Ann
Ann- Thank you. This man, is teamed up with the devil, and I believe is trying to recruit more witches. If you remember, on April 13 I announced that the spector of Giles Corey came to me and asked me to sign in the devils book. Later, a ghost came up to me and told me that the reason that it was dead was because they were murdered by Giles Corey!
(The crowd gasps and whispers)
Judge Peter- Order! Order in the court. thank you Ann. You are a reliable source seeing that you have accused so many witches that I can say we successfully took care of.
Ann- Your welcome your honor, I just want to make Salem Massachusetts a better place. I think that those poor little victims need to see some justice.
Judge Peter- Right you are Ann, right you are. At this time you may defend your case
Corey- no.
Ann- Do you see your honor! This man is a wacko! He probably wants to die.
Judge Peter- that’s enough Ann, please take your seat. At this time I will bring up more witnesses. Will Elizabeth and Alice Booth please approach the stand.
Elizabeth- thank you your honor.
Alice- Shall I start the accusations?
Judge Peter- Please do.
Alice- Well, the other day, my sister and I were passing by Mr. Giles Corey’s house and we saw...we saw...
Judge Peter- What did you see?...please tell us so we can have some justice.
Elizabeth- Giles Corey was hosting a party with over fifty witches serving bread and wine.
Judge Peter- Mr. Corey, you have some bad accusations against you. Now tell me, what do you have to say
Giles Corey- I have nothing to say
Judge Peter- WHY DO YOU REFUSE TO TALK! BE COOPERATIVE OR THERE WILL BE COSIQUENCES! Now I will ask you some questions. Are you a wizard
***Giles Corey said nothing***
Judge Peter- Are you a wizard!!! Answer me!!!!!
***once again Giles Corey said nothing***
Judge Peter- Are you in contact with satin? Have you done any sort of witchcraft???
***Giles Corey refused to speak***
Judge Peter- I warned you Corey…and now its time for you to show respect. You will be pressed by rocks until you speak. I don’t care if we have to press you to death!!! Bailiff, show this man the door.

Giles Corey was stripped of his clothes. They placed a wood board on top of his chest and piled the board with rocks until he was crushed to death. While Giles Corey was being pressed to death, it is said that he was begging them to add more rocks so he could die quicker. He was buried in Gallows hill with a tombstone that had no writing on it.
